On Halloween night in 1932, Kate Banks meets a disguised stranger with whom she has an immediate, magnetic connection. She suspects, based on the petite frame, delicate hands, and soft lips, that it’s a young woman. According to the conventions of 1930s New York high society, Kate’s feelings should definitely confuse and potentially frighten her. But Kate has never played by the rules. She soon finds out several of those around her don’t either, but can they keep Kate’s secret long enough for her and her mystery crush to be together? Or will their own interests get in the way of everyone’s “happily ever afters”?
